Ross Hagon

Began a career in dentistry in 1994. Qualified the same year as a Registered Dental Nurse. Career development comprised of Certificate in Radiography with Kodak Prize of best clinical case presentation and Certificate of Merit in Oral Health Education.

Qualified's as a Dental Hygienist in 1996.

Joined HDS in 2001

Has since taken many Pos-Graduate Certificates including extended duties to include administration of Local Anaesthetics.

Uses 'the Wand ', a computerized anaesthetic delivery system to make local anaesthetic comfortable.

Completed a course in Advanced Scaling techniques.

Works closely with our team of dentists to plan and provide tailored treatment plans for the individual.

Fully committed to provided active and preventative treatment in order to maintain healthy smiles.

Firmly believes in continuing Professional Development and keeping aware of the latest techniques and materials.

Aims to help patients achieve their maximum level of oral health.

Mrs Julie Butler

Qualified as a dental hygienist in 1997 at Guys & ST. Thomas University hospital.  On qualifying I was awarded a prize for patient care and motivation.

Since qualifying I worked at Basildon Hospital for 6 years, where I specialised in oral surgery and gained a lot of experience in facial and orthognatic surgery. I have been a team member at HDS for the past 6 years and pride myself in having a good relationship with my patients.  I have a caring approach and enjoy seeing patients gain confidence in our specialist care.

Since  qualification I have regularly updated my knowledge, including administering local anaesthetic, attending hygienist conferences and courses.

My leisure includes keeping fit, which includes swimming and bike riding (no extreme sports!!) I enjoy my chosen career and feel HDS has a lot to offer a variety of patients.
