We are, of course, aware that economic circumstances have been challenging for many people over the past few years. Everyone has had to consider their financial out-goings and private dental care is a valuable health-care service but significant expense. We have been made aware by several patients that they are keen to return to HDS for their dental care as soon as circumstances allow, but also that a significant number feel slightly hesitant to do so if their dental care has lapsed for a year or two, or maybe because they have attended another Practice. Please be aware that we fully understand the various reasons patients have for their choice of dental care. We are always delighted when a patient or family returns to HDS and many are doing so.
We receive very positive feedback about our services and often very favourable comparisons to their experiences in other Practices. In particular, patients returning to HDS are very positive about our long-standing clinical and reception staff: the value of developing a close professional relationship and continuity of care is very high.
It is often reported that one main dissatisfaction from other Practices is a constant change of dentists and hygienists. John Joyce, Maya Dam, Ross Hagon and Julie Butler are all very long-standing clinicians at HDS.
These days people will readily switch between providers of services such as banking, insurance and energy to get the best deal of the moment. Dental care by trusted professionals is such a personal and intimate service that switching between providers may not always deliver the hoped-for outcomes.
Please be assured that there is never any barrier to returning to HDS for your dental care whether there has been a time-lapse or a move to another Practice. We are here to treat you to our best standards and are always aiming and investing to improve the services we offer. We retain records and x-rays for at least 11 years and so can pick up where we left off! We are delighted to welcome back to HDS all of our patients, young and old.
